I would like to nominate our horse Tommy who was put to rest on 28th April
2007.
Tommy injured himself while out on spell with his previous owners in
November 2006. We decided to take him over & give him a chance, I am so
glad we did as it was an absolute privilege to have owned Tommy even if it
was for only 7months.
Tommy put up such a fight to get through this but his body decided he had
enough after 7months of bandaging every second day, 1 operation & a cast on
for a couple of months. His good leg could no longer take the pressure & he
suffered in addition an extreme case of founder.
He was amazing, not once through all his pain did he kick or bite or even blink
an eye lid he knew we were there to help him. He had such a will to live & the
biggest heart he will be sadly missed. He touched a lot of peoples hearts, they
all know him as the horse with a huge heart.
