We rescued Blue 3 1/2 years ago. He is a 16.2h Grey Standardbred gelding
who everyone has passed on for some reason or another. He was never nasty,
he just had no trust in humans and after what he had been through who could
blame him.
The photo is Blue just over a month ago at his first ridden show where we
competed against at least 8 - 10 horses in each class and where he came
away with nothing less than 4th place, plus he was also the only Standardbred.
We even came home with a first in one class! I have ridden and evented many
horses, here and in Tassie and Qld, however I have not owned a horse who
has as much heart and soul as this fella. When everyone else had given up on
him we didn't and he has come an extremely long way. Both myself and my
partner Matt are very proud!
