LOUISE CROSBIE - was horse mad from an early age. Although she was not from
a horsey family and her mum was a single parent with a sole income, that didn't stop
her from following her passion! She started out working at Broadacres Riding School
in exchange for lessons, then leased a pony and the rest has grown from there!
Louise lives and breathes horses. She is aware that you never ever stop learning so is
constantly trying to increase her knowledge by regularly reading, networking with her
peers and attended various clinics. She belonged to pony club and was a member of
the BEATS Squad and Showjumping WA Development Squad. She is a licenced
pacing trainer and a qualified horse riding instructor and trail ride guide. She currently
runs Horsewest full time, races standardbreds and showjumps.
HENRY - Unraced, unregistered 16.1 1/4hh Thoroughbred gelding by
Recall The Tune out of Kanakanai. 'Just Plain Henry' is a chestnut with 3
socks and a stripe born 18th November 1996. Louise purchased Henry in
April 2001. Some successful performances to date include Young
Masters 1m Series Winner 2006. Winner of Northampton Young Rider
Class 2006. Winner of two Hills Showjumping Finals Events 2006/2007.
Many other wins and placings up to 1.15m showjumping. Henry is a big
sook and he loves to smile for carrots!

ANAKIN - Reg'd ASB Thoroughbred 'Join The Force' is by Enforcer out
of Sky At Night. He is a grey gelding born 7th October 2001 standing
approximately 16.1hh. He started life as an unsuccessful racehorse who
couldn't jump out of the barriers. He had six starts and ran practically last
every time and won a grand total of $0 prize money. Louise purchased
Anakin in August 2006. He has currently competed up to 1.15m. He is a
very willing jumper. Unfortunately Anakin sustained a suspected pelvic
fracture in mid '09 and is out for at least 6 months.

SHARLY - is a dark bay mare with a blaze and 3 socks standing
approximately 16hh. Her show name is 'Starry Eyed Suprise'. She is by a
Clydesdale stallion out of a first cross quarter horse mare. Sharly was
born on the 26th December 2003. Louise purchased Sharly in December
2007. She has only been out to a limited number of show jumping outings
but is showing a lot of promise. At her last show she jumped 2 double
clears and placed second in both classes.

BERTIE - Louise's first pony is a grey gelding standing 12.2hh. He is of
Thoroughbred/Pony breeding and is registered 2nd Premium Australian Sports Pony. He
was born in 1989. Louise traced back Bertie's brand to the original owner and they told
her his story. He had a rough start to life. He was by a small thoroughbred stallion out of
a pony mare. He was bred for meat. Eventually the man was found out and the horses
were re homed. Unfortunately Bertie's dam died when he was only 3 months old. She
was still feeding his one and a half year old sister as well as Bertie and being only a small
pony mare couldn't cope. Bertie was hand raised then sold on. He was previously
known as Tortandeen Tiny Tim as he was so small. He was then known as Tim Tam
and somewhere along the line his name was changed to Bertie. His show name is B.B.
Floppy-Ears. He had quite a few homes. He was at a riding school for a bit where he
broke someones arm by bucking them off when they were doing a round-the-world and
ran a few people under fences. Louise then leased Bertie off a friend for 2 and a half
years before purchasing him in 1999. He now has a home for life. He competed
successfully in all disciplines including eventing, showjumping, Prince Phillip Games,
hacking, dressage, novelties and pony trots (well not that successfully, he did win one
race, but it was rigged! He had the biggest handicap!). He also starred as 'The Blue
Pony' at the 2007 night of the stars.

COOL - is a bay standardbred gelding with a star and two socks
standing approximately 15.3hh. He was imprint trained from birth as
Louise bred him and owned his dam Caisies Image. He was born 30th
October 2005. His registered name is 'Absolute Cool'. He has been
broken to harness and saddle. He is very quiet and handles it all very
well. Cool has been given time to mature and will hopefully make his
racing debut soon. He has been to a limited number of shows for:
*Reserve State Champion Junior Colt 2006 Standardbred State Champs
*Champion Junior Colt at a Gosnell's Breed Show in 2008
*Reserve State Champion Junior Gelding 2008 Standardbred State
Champs.

thoroughbred gelding born in 1990. Woody competed in
showjumping over east up to Grand Prix level. Keely Duggan then
competed him successful in WA up to 1.45m. Louise purchased
Woody at the beginning of 2009 in order to gain some more
experience in graded showjumping competition. Woody is currently
B grade. He is a lovely horse who is still going strong for his age.
WILLY - is a black/brown standardbred gelding with 2 socks born
1st October 2006. Willy stands just under 15hh. His is by leading
sire Kinney Hanover out of a winning mare Ciara Wind. Willy was
a yearling that was prepped for a lady for the 2008 Yearling Sales.
Unfortunately due to two sales being held a week apart the sales
weren't a great success and a lot of yearlings were passed in. Willy
was one of them. Louise ended up purchasing him off the breeder.
Willy is broken to saddle and is commencing his harness education.
He will be given time to mature then hopefully race.

HARRY - is a grey percheron cross arabian gelding standing
approximately 15hh. Born in 1987 harry has been around and done
it all! Louise is lucky enough to have Harry is on lease from Jade
Cobbold. He has a pretty cruisy life, only getting pulled out of semi
retirement occasionally to teach on! He is a super quiet trustworthy
horse who looks after the most nervous of passangers. He even
stops if you pretend to fall off!
JOHNNY - is a plain bay standardbred gelding. Louise found out he
needed a home through Second Chance Horse Rescue. Although he
was an accidental breeding and born in May 07 she still managed to
get him registered. He is by Parsons Uca (naughty son of Parsons
Den who managed to break into the mares paddock!) out of Moon
Speakers Gift. Johnny will either be prepped to race or trained
under saddle and on sold as a hack.
QADIR - is a grey pure egyptian arabian gelding standing at approx
14.3hh. Born in 2006 by Pyramid Park Prince out of Rothlyn Hot
Gossip. Louise got Qadir as an untouched 2yo colt. He is now a

super trainable, intelligent young horse who takes everything in his
stride. His registered name is Magic Maker Qadir. Qadir means
confident and confident in arabic.

Whitney from South Australia in September 2009. Unfortunately
when Whitney was 4 months old she had an accident and lost her
left eye. However it doesn't affect her at all. She is a real clown and
loves playing with anyone and everything!
HUEY - is a black and white male cat born in April 2008. He is a
brother to Dewey and Louie. The three kittens were found abandoned
after their stray mother was hit by a car. Louise found them when they
were approximately 2 weeks old and they were hand-raised. Huey was
the runt of the litter. He has a bit of a split personality and loves to find
new spots to hide out! He is very affectionate however he drools and
claws and tries to suckle when you pat him which is rather annoying!
LOUIE - is ginger and white male cat, born in April 2008. Louie is a
brother to Dewey and Huey. He loves to hunt mice and eat them!
He has also been known to catch baby snakes and bring them into
the house! He loves cuddles and pats and enjoys sitting quietly on
your lap.
DEWEY - is a grey and white male cat, born in April 2008. Dewey
is a brother to Huey and Louie. Dewey thinks he is a dog. He loves
cuddles and belly rubs and going for car rides. He also loves to sit
on the horses!
She has since competed successfully
at many levels in various disciplines
including eventing, show jumping,
dressage, pony trots, Prince Phillip
mounted games, bush races,
novelties, hacking and western. When
she first left school she worked in
pacing, racing, show, agistment and
riding stables throughout Western
Australia. She then started running
her own business.
